Art Attack was live @ Distrix Festival on Saturday September 3rd, 2023 four artists painting live for 3 hours!
On the evening of Friday August 11th, long before the crowds show up, walls are being prepped. This is a prelude to the hustle and bustle of the next few days. Some early birds have shown up early to get a head start on their pieces. This is the prologue to a weekend dedicated to honouring the 50th Anniversary of HIP HOP!

Long before the crowds show up, an army of volunteers is there to make sure everything is in place for artists and visitors alike. This serves as a small tribute to the people whose contributions are vital to the overall success of Under Pressure.

Under Pressure beyond being an internationally acclaimed graffiti festival known for attracting the best talent from around the world, has been at the forefront of promoting HIP HOP culture. Beaux Dégâts aims to draw a parallel between street art and Fine Arts. It highlights what is often overlooked in many artistic institutions—the reality of street artists, the importance of community, sharing, accessibility, and the unconventional.
The Rules of the Game:
For over two hours, five teams of artists will improvise 6’ x 8’ murals based on a theme distributed the same evening. Each team researches and incorporates visual references to conceptualize their creation live in front of the audience. All mediums are allowed, except aerosol. During the event, the public votes for their favorite mural using their empty Pabst beer cans. The team that collects the most cans wins.
