Souldia X Blynk – Le cœur à la bonne place
September 9, 2026Raphaëla Cupidin is an artist whose musical journey stretches across soul, jazz, hip-hop, Afro-American music and electronic sounds. A trained dancer as well as a vocalist, she developed through a multidisciplinary background that included classical dance, hip-hop and jazz, before becoming involved in projects that brought those different worlds together. Her work with the Paris-based duo Soulyem, alongside bassist and producer Isaac Adeyemi, explored the space between Afro-American musical traditions, groove and electronic textures.
Cupidin has also performed with The Volunteered Slaves, contributing vocals to the collective’s Ripcord project. The group’s music moves freely between jazz, funk, Afro-rooted sounds, pop and electronic music, giving Cupidin another space to develop her expressive vocal style within a highly collaborative setting.
Her solo catalogue began taking shape with “Regarde-Moi” in 2021, followed by “Something Good” in 2024. Now, Raphaëla Cupidin returns with “The Way,” released June 14, 2026. The track carries an uplifting, spiritually minded energy, with Cupidin herself describing the song through ideas of divine energy, self-belief and alignment.
“The Way” is another step along that path.
