As the founder of The Black Atlantics, he has developed an Afrocentric sound rooted in the traditions of Highlife and Afrobeats. Inspired by legendary Nigerian musicians including Oliver De Coque, Chief Osita Osadebe, and the revolutionary spirit of Fela Kuti, Obi Original creates songs that honour the past while confidently looking toward the future.
“Sorry Oga!” captures that philosophy with infectious grooves, rich instrumentation, and an undeniable sense of joy.
