London-based musical maverick Bakar is at it again with his latest single, “I’m Done.” This track was released as just a taste of what was to come from his album, “Halo,” which dropped about a month ago on September 21.

Bakar’s album “Halo” is already generating a buzz, and he’s preparing to take it on the road with a full tour, including a sold-out UK run in November. This album is a follow-up to his 2018 mixtape, “BADKID.”

“I’m Done” draws from a medley of musical influences, showcasing Bakar’s ability to blend silky-smooth melodies with static drum sequences and lo-fi piano keys. Lyrically, it delves into the emotional turmoil of a past love affair and the heartbreak that comes with a breakup.

For this project, Bakar has collaborated with British-Nigerian multidisciplinary artist Slawn, who has created alternative artwork for “Halo.” Slawn’s work is featured on the exclusive cassette tape edition of the album, with only 500 copies available for pre-order on Bakar’s website.
